What is the best time to visit Vaishno Devi?

The temple is open throughout the year, but the best time to visit is during the cooler months of March to October. The monsoon season (July to September) can be challenging due to heavy rainfall, and winters (November to February) can be extremely cold.

How long does it take to trek to the temple?

The trek from Katra to the Vaishno Devi Shrine is approximately 13 kilometers long. The time it takes to complete the trek depends on your fitness level and pace, but it typically takes around 4-6 hours one way.

Is there an alternative to trekking?

Yes, you can use a variety of transportation options to reach the temple, including ponies, palanquins, and a helicopter service. These options can make the journey easier, especially for those who may have difficulty trekking.
